'Rick and Morty' Season 3 air date delayed? debut to take place in 2017 instead

"Rick and Morty" has become one of the most popular Adult Swim animated series.

"Rick and Morty" fans are excited to see the series on television again. But the show's air date will reportedly be delayed again as fresh speculations suggest that it might debut in 2017 instead of the expected holiday 2016.

Co-creator of the show Dan Harmon stated that they are "going as fast they can," Jobs & Hire has learned. He also said that he does not have the power to give updates on the particular release of "Rick and Morty" Season 3.

A lot of "Rick and Morty" fans are asking Harmon and his team about the air date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Everyone was expecting the show to air again in 2016, but it would seem that it could be moved to 2017 considering that there is only a month left.

Moreover, the show's writer Erica Rosbe stated that they already finished the script. Reports are claiming that the reason for the possible delay is the process of animating the show.

The upcoming series will circle on Rick's imprisonment at the Galactic Federation, News Everyday reported. While being imprisoned, Rick allegedly tries to escape with the help of Evil Morty Smith and Mrs. Sanchez, Ricky's wife, will also help him escape the celestial prison to be able to go back to his family on Earth. Another scene also suggests a possible break-up of the marriage between Rick's daughter Beth and her husband Jerry.

It can be remembered that "Rick and Morty" started out as entertaining comic show thru a small "Back to the Future" parody  "The adventurous duo Doc and Mharti". The parody has been very popular due to the same comedic approach the show is known for today.

Additionally, the producers never imagined that the film will rise higher than expected. The production also uses 'out of school' animation method termed as retro scripting. Animators just follow the adlibs and improvisations of the voice actors.

"Rick and Morty" fans will have to wait for the official air date announcement from the creators. There is still a month left for 2016 and Season 3 could still air.
