Any of the Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon will have the Legendary Mons and for sure gamers would want to catch them all. Unlike in Pokémon GO, the Legendary are for the taking for the taking over the course of both the Sun and Moon. The task is not necessarily easy but is surely doable and fun at the same time.
But the mission to hunt and catch these Legendary Mons, according to BGR, will only be made possible once a player has conquered Alola. That means only a Sun & Moon champ can start on the quest to look for the Legendary and with that made clear, here the rare Pokémon up for grabs and how to add them on one's collection:
Get Cosmog that evolves to Solgaleo or Lunala
In Pokémon Sun, one Legendary on the hunt list is Solgaleo that has a counterpart in Pokémon Moon known as Lunala. But before players can get their hands on any of these creatures, winning Cosmog first is a prerequisite and it will only happen following the completion of the game's main story.
In any of the Sun and Moon, an Alola champ earns the license to revisit the Altar of Sunne (for Pokémon Sun) or Altar of Moone (for Pokémon Moon) and from there head to Lake of Sunne/Moone. Cosmog will then be released and later on the Mon will become Solgaleo or Lunala.
The "Tapu" Pokémons
BGR said players will find four Legendary of the Tapu kind in Sun and Moon and they are the following:
- Tapu Koko - this Legendary is the guardian deity of the Melemele Island and can be challenged by heading back to the Ruins of Conflict after becoming the Alola champ.
- Tape Lele - the guardian deity of Akala Island and is ready to battle a player that has finished the Ruins of Life but prior to the fight one will need the Machamp Poké Ride.
- Tapu Bulu - the guardian deity of Ula'ula Island and is found in the Ruins of Abundance, which should be entered to through the Haina Desert.
- Tapu Fini - the guardian deity of Poni Island and appears when one has reached the Ruins of Hope. To battle, a player will need the Machamp Poké Ride.
Zygarde
A player negotiating his way through Alola will surely encounter Dexio and Sina. The Pokémon X and Y character will give out Zygarde Cube for collecting Z-cells and Z-cores. For those wanting to get Zygarde in various forms, the trick is to gather as many Z-cells as possible and seek the trailer found on Route 16 of the Ula'ula Island. There, the Legendary Zygarde can be fashioned out in three forms - Zygarde 10% Forme (10 Z-cells), Zygarde 50% Forme (50 Z-cells) and Zygarde Complete Forme (100 Z-cells).
Legendary Ultra Beasts
An Alola champ will be tasked by the International Police to capture the Legendary Ultra Beasts. One will need supply of Beast Balls for the mission and take note that catching them must be done in sequence as listed below:
- UB-01 Symbiont/Nihelego
- UB-02 Beauty/Phermosa (Moon exclusive)
- UB-02 Absorption/Buzzwole (Sun exclusive)
- UB-03 Lighting/Xurkitree
- UB-04 Blaster/Celesteela (Moon exclusive)
- UB-04 Kartana (Sun exclusive)
- UB-05 Glutton/Guzzlord
Necrozma
This Legendary can be spotted in Melemele Island's Ten Carat Hill. Packing more power than the Ultra Beasts, defeating Necrozma will requires Pokémon level 70 and up plus tons of Ultra Balls, and there is no assurance of easy success.
Free Legendary to collect
BGR said there will be two Legendary creatures that will be given away to Pokémon Sun and Moon players for free. When and how Magearna and Marshadow will become available will be announced by The Pokémon Company soon.
