Justin Bieber is on the cover of Men's Health magazine, April 2015 edition. The magazine's website features ten photos of the soon-to-be-21 celebrity. Bill Phillips, editor-in-chief of the health publication, explains the story of a young man's "second chance" in an article.
"The dude is barely 21 and, let's be honest, has been acting like a spoiled brat the past couple of years," Phillips wrote, explaining his thought process about having Justin Bieber on the cover of Men's Health. Phillips later concluded the pop celebrity deserves a second chance.
Bieber, discovered on YouTube in 2007, became a sensational pop singer at 15. He maintained his pop star status through the years, but he has been in the hottest tabloid reports for bad reasons.
Over a year ago, Justin Bieber faced a lawsuit for allegedly throwing eggs at a neighbor's home. He also faced charges over DUI, physical altercation, and paparazzi assault; all of which contributed to his "bad boy" reputation.
Bieber's on-again off-again romance with another young pop celebrity, Selena Gomez, is also another favorite topic in entertainment sites. Selena's "The Heart Wants What It Wants," a song about a boyfriend taking his relationship for granted, is reportedly about Bieber.
Upon speaking to Justin Bieber's publicist, Phillips expressed his hesitation about getting "Biebs" on the cover of Men's Health. Eventually, Phillips was told: "He realizes it's time to grow up, to become a man." The editor-in-chief also heard: "He's looking for a second chance."
"We're all works in progress. The key to growth is realizing it. When I was 20, I pulled quite a few of my own d-bag moves. Only difference was that TMZ wasn't there to report them," Phillips wrote, seemingly compelled to reflect on his youth and the reports on Justin Bieber's image.
Ultimately, "The Reinvention of Justin Bieber" was completed as the Men's Health cover story for April 2015. The story comes with photos of Bieber's toned physique, sculpted by workout and supposedly a better lifestyle aimed at getting a second chance.
The April 2015 issue of Men's Health will be in newsstands by March 17. Digital editions will come out a week earlier.
