'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' World Premiere

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has only been released last week, but "Harry Potter" fans are now eager for the sequel. As for the details of the next film, director David Yates and producer David Heyman teased to bring back the wizarding world into its home along with the appearance of some familiar "Harry Potter" characters.

Yates confirmed in an interview with Leaky Cauldron that the next "Fantastic Beasts" film will move from America to Europe, specifically to Paris, and of course, the UK where Hogwarts is. With a smile, Yates said, "We confirm it!" further divulging that the sequel will primarily take place in Paris.

"We do go back to the UK in the second film as well- it's UK and Paris. I'm not sure where Jo [J.K. Rowling] is setting the rest of the movies, but they'll be European-centric," Yates offered.

Likewise, fan-favorite Dumbledore was confirmed to be coming back for the sequel of "Fantastic Beasts." The crew, however, is yet to find the right actor to play the legendary wizard. The Davids confirmed that Michael Gambon will not portray Dumbledore, but Jared Harris was raised as a probable selection.

As for the pivotal characters, the duo also confirmed the speculations and rumors that Johnny Depp would play a part in the "Fantastic Beasts" series as Grindelwald who is a frenemy of Dumbledore and considered as one most dangerous Dark Wizards in the "Harry Potter" world.

Although the casting decision received quite a criticism, Yates explained that the creatives chose Depp solely on a selfish basis. That is, Depp is undeniably a brilliant actor, hence, his treatment of Grindelwald would something that would give the character both a fun and a special characteristic that anticipating fans will be interested into.

Heyman also offered a few words to discuss the matter, "Grindelwald is an iconic character, so it was important to have someone who had that weight. There's a reason why he has that weight. It's because, you know, he's a fine actor who makes unexpected choices."

Meanwhile, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson, and Colin Farrell to name the few was released in Theaters last November 18.
