Redesigned Hero of game is seen in 3D dimension

Long-awaited rework on "Symmetra" has been done and the hero of the game is available on the PTR with revamped version.

Alongside Teleporter that shields to compensate for having less health, "Symmetra" can also deploy a Shield Generator that works as a shield to all supporting players within its range irrespective of walls, barriers and other obstacles that may occur on the way.

In Digital Trends,Blizzard's game director, Jeff Kaplan, says that "Symmetra" has been a host of mixed bag. As the director explains, "Symmetra" was a very situational choice in the past.

"When looking into changes for Symmetra, we wanted to address two main issues: she didn't feel active enough, and she often felt weak in certain situations on different maps and game modes, due to her Teleporter," Director says.

To address the first point, Photon Shield has been replaced with Photon Barrier that moves ahead to block enemy fire. With this change, "Symmetra" can help lead the charge on offense or help shut down a big push on defense by being active to block the damage. To address the second point, "Symmetra" has been given an alternate Teleporter that is more useful in situations.

Photon Barrier is being explained as for having much more active ability while Shield Generator is meant for providing a viable alternative to the Teleporter. This aspect was most often felt as of no use in many scenarios thereby leading the players to shift away from "Symmetra."

Apart from Symmetra's adjustment, PTR update also makes a minor change to Zarya that allows the team to stay together while playing matches and additionally giving Sombra with "Boop" voice line.

Overwatch has a new hero Sombra with high expectations and it is also a fact that veterans will be very pleased to know that one hero has been slightly neglected in the past. That's true, "Symmetra" has been just rebalanced with some new abilities.

Game Spot claimed that the new updates include - players can now select the 1v1 Mystery Duel and 3v3 Elimination game modes from the Custom Game menu. The new feature called "Stay as Team" has been added to allow players to work in groups among teammates after the match has ended.
