Satya Nadella Hints Surface Phone Is in Works!
With the launch of its Surface Book i7 and Surface Studio, Windows 10 Mobile users are now expecting that the Surface Phone release date will be slotted in early 2017. Hence, the rumor mill is expecting a lot from the alleged Surface Phone.
The Surface Phone has been in the rumors since several months, but it is only now that the biggest evidence has come up that reveals the Surface Phone is indeed in works. The fans got hope as Microsoft CEO Nadella Satya, shared their plans to come up with Surface Phone by next year.
According to Nadella, the Redmond giant will not follow the present smartphone market trend, but it will be aiming to redefine the market. With some things unique features on the Surface Phone, the company wants lead the smartphone market as well as satisfy the needs of its consumers.
In his statement, Nadella said, "We will not just envy of what others have, but think of, what can we bring? Here's a point he looks at any device form factor or any technology, even AI. We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today's market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device", MacRumors reported.
Microsoft Surface Phone Specifications, Features
It is not too surprising for the Microsoft fans as there have been several leaks about the company working on the new Surface Phone project. Microsoft is expected come up with two variants of Surface Phones with 4GB and 6GB RAM. It is likely to come equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor, which is the latest and powerful processor of Qualcomm.
The device with 6 GB of RAM will be supporting X86 apps in Continuum whereas the 4GB variant will be lacking this feature. Both the phones are expected to come with 5.5-inch screen with the quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and will also come with laptop accessories, NokiaPowerUser reported. It will be running on Windows 10 Mobile OS and Continuum is said to be one of its major features.
