Samsung first sold the Galaxy J7 Prime in Asian markets.

Customers in the United States can now finally order the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime online through Amazon. However, it is not an official U.S. version but rather an unlocked dual-SIM variant.

Samsung has already released the Galaxy J7 Prime in Asian markets such as in India, Vietnam, the Philippines and other neighboring countries. No official U.S. version has been released yet as the South Korean tech giant focused on selling their flagship Galaxy S7 Edge and the now-discontinued Galaxy Note 7 in the country.

Those who really want the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime in the U.S. can now buy the phone through Amazon by ordering it online, Android Headlines reported. The said Android smartphone is not available through the popular carriers in the U.S. such as Sprint, T-Mobile and others.

Customers should also note that while it is the dual-SIM unlocked model, it still supports the GSM networks in the country. They can still use the 4G LTE connections but they will have to pay full price of $290 instead of having to pay it slowly through a data plan.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is cheaper than the Galaxy S7 because it is targeted towards the mainstream market. It is now a low-end device but rather a mid-tier choice for those who want a fast phone without dishing out too much cash.

Samsung's Galaxy J7 Prime is also more updated compared to the Galaxy A5 thanks to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS of the former, Neurogadget reported. The Galaxy A5 is also a cheaper choice compared to the Galaxy S7.

Both the J7 Prime and the A5 do have Super AMOLED screens at 1080p. They both lose to the S7 with QHD considering that it costs several hundred dollars more.

Amazon has stocks for the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime which has 3GB RAM and a 13MP rear camera. There is no update regarding its availability with the popular mobile carriers.
