In episode 9, an emotional Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) received information that Wes was killed even before her house was burned down. This suggests that someone has been trying to get rid of the character even before Annalise asked him to go to her house for an important meeting. In the previous weeks, Wes turned his back on his professor, but he also rocked the boat when Frank (Charlie Weber) discovered that he has been sleeping with Laurel (Karla Souza).
To make things worse, it was also revealed that Laurel is pregnant, and it's highly possible that it is with Wes. In an interview with Variety, showrunner Pete Nowalk confirmed that details regarding Wes death will be shown in the first few scenes from episode 10. Unfortunately, the hit ABC series is still on break and will return sometime in January.
Meanwhile, even though Wes has already been killed off, Enoch will still be part of all of the remaining episodes from Season 3. By the looks of it, Wes will be featured in a series of flashbacks. Nowalk is also excited for what is in store for the character even though he has ultimately passed on. After all, other characters who have died in the previous seasons are still a major part of "How to Get Away With Murder" at present.
"He'll be in the rest of the season, basically. And who knows beyond-if we'll have another season or if we will go to prequels or something," he said.
In other news, Annalise will also have major issues to face in the upcoming episodes. After all, she is being linked to Wes' murder because she was the last person who contacted him before he was killed.
"How to Get Away With Murder" Season 3 will return to ABC starting Jan. 19, 2017 at 10 p.m. ET.
