Many have thought that Naughty Dog's "Uncharted" game series met its demise with "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." Nonetheless, it may well seem that the story lives on as the developer unveiled at the recently concluded PlayStation Experience (PSX) their latest installment in the treasure hunting themed franchise.
Entitled "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," the newest offering was supposedly slated to be "Uncharted 4's" downloadable content. However, its vast storyline, not to mention the refreshed set of protagonists, made the famed game maker to launch it as a standalone title that is said to deviate from Nathan Drake's escapades.
That being said, fans who are expecting to see Nathan and Victor Sullivan might be choked to the fact that the cave spelunking duo won't be spotted in the yet to be released title, though there might be a slim chance of them being seen doing some bit playing.
As above-mentioned, the inbound game will feature Chloe Frazer as its main character alongside Nadine Ross. For those who are fairly new to the series, Chloe was first introduced in "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" way back in 2009. The character was a bit edgier and was evidently in contrast with Nathan's good guy persona. The character made a substantial fanbase which could be one of the probable reasons why the game maker chose her to helm the latest episode in the game series.
Meanwhile, Naughty Dog stated that the new game will be set in India as the two femmes will be trekking the mountainous terrain of Western Ghats in search of the artifact known as the "Tusk of Ganesh" that is believed to possess mystical powers.
As of late, the developer still has to comment as to when will the game be released. However, Trusted Reviews expects it to be rolled out next year digitally and physically.
