Kingdom Hearts 3 is an action-RPG developed by Square Enix for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. It is considered the third title of the Kingdom Hearts game series.

New details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a possible episodic release, multiplayer gameplay and an Easter egg found in "Final Fantasy XV".

A new Easter egg for "Kingdom Hears 3" was found within Square Enix most recent video game title "Final Fantasy XV" as one of the game's protagonist Prompto had a dialogue that says "...Or like a magical key that can unlock any door - like from the video games". The phrase was meant to be for "Kingdom Hearts" since the first game featured a door to other worlds, Mobile&Apps reported.

Could this mean that Square Enix is ready to work on "Kingdom Hearts 3" now that "Final Fantasy XV" has been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles?

Previous reports hinted that game director Tetsuya Nomura teased new Disney worlds for Sora and his friends to explore in "Kingdom Hearts 3", which gamers can run, jump, fly and explore with wider space and higher range of maneuverability.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature new worlds based from Disney characters and so far, worlds from "Tangled", "Hercules" and "Big Hero 6" have been confirmed. Other rumored Disney worlds may include "Frozen", "Wreck-it Ralph", "Toy Story", "The Jungle Book", "Brave", "Zootopia" etc.

In addition, game co-director Tai Yasue also teased that characters from Star Wars and Marvel franchises could appear in "Kingdom Hearts 3", but it will take awhile for Square Enix to acquire the rights from Disney.

Meanwhile, Nomura teased that "Kingdom Hearts 3" could have an episodic release that there are plans for for it due to the fact that the scale of the sequel's story will be huge and he and the game developers are overwhelmed about it.

Although Nomura admitted that he is afraid of an episodic release style as it might ruin the tempo of "Kingdom Hearts 3's" storyline. Nomura added that an online multiplayer feature for the sequel soon and he has been hinting clues from past interviews, though nothing concrete is being confirmed to date, Gamepur reported.

The plot of "Kingdom Hearts 3" will have Sora and his friends gathering the seven guardians of light in order to defeat Master Xehanort and his new Organization XIII from spreading darkness across the universe, culminating into another Keyblade War.

Sora along with Goofy and Donald Duck will be travelling to new and exciting Disney worlds that they and the gamers have not seen before, while his best friend Riku and King Mickey will seek out a battle-scarred Keyblade wielder. It unknown as to who is the Keyblade wielder that Riku and King Mickey are searching for, but it seems that this person will play an important role in the coming Keyblade War.

Square Enix already revealed two of Sora's new weapons in the sequel such as the Guard Form and an unnamed hammer form.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
