After being on hiatus for about a year, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey is back in business once again and is currently buffing up to face the company's current women's bantamweight champion Amanda "The Lioness" Nunes. Her comeback fight was made known via UFC's recently released teaser that made most MMA fans elated with anticipation.
Per MMA Fighting, the three-minute video showcases Rowdy herself that may well seem to be contemplating her year-old loss to Holly "The Preacher's Daughter" Holm. Also, the clip showed some commentaries about the said fight including her return to the octagon before the year comes to a close. Albeit the silent treatment in the video, the things that she did on the trailer clearly translates how she is preparing for the said championship fight that is believed to be the last.
Nevertheless, such speculation was eventually debunked by the former champion as she sat down with Conan O'Brien a few days ago. She said that the impending fist fight against Nunes will not be her last, though she stressed that it could happen soon enough. The talk show host then brought up the smack talk that was blurted out by Rousey's opponent saying that she'll be taken down in the very first round. Rousey then replied that it is natural for Nunes to say such since she knew for a fact that the latter easily runs out of juice and goes on with an empty tank on the second.
Bloody Elbow reports that apart from the Rousey's much-awaited bout, fight buffs will also be treated to another title defense match between bantamweight titleholder Dominick Cruz and Cody Garbrandt that will be held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena on Dec. 30.
