'Kingdom Hearts 3' update: Square Enix to reveal new details at Jump Festa 2016; Marvel, Star Wars worlds, characters added?

Kingdom Hearts 3 is an action-RPG developed by Square Enix for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. It is considered the third title of the Kingdom Hearts game series.

New details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature an appearance at Jump Festa 2016, as well as Marvel and Star Wars worlds and characters in the sequel.

Square Enix announced that they will be attending this year's Jump Festa event on Dec. 17-18 as they are now putting effort on several game titles such as "Dragon Quest" and "Kingdom Hearts" franchise after their release of "Final Fantasy XV" this year.

There line-up of games include "Dragon Quest Monster Battle Scanner", "Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 Professional" and the long-awaited "Dragon Quest XI" for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. Other "Dragon Quest" titles include "Hoshi no Dragon Quest" and "Dragon Quest X".

The "Kingdom Hearts" line-up will include "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue". Other titles include "NieR: Automata" and "SaGa: Scarlet Grace". WHile "Kingdom Hearts 3" is not listed in the line-up, it could be a possibility that Square Enix will mention the sequel during the event to surprise gaming fans who have followed the franchise, Nova Crystalis reported.

In other news, game director Tetsuya Nomura stated that "Kingdom Hearts 3's" development is coming along steadily and gaming fans will expect new Disney worlds, which gamers can run, jump, fly and explore with wider space and higher range of maneuverability, Gamingbolt reported.

Square Enix promised gaming fans that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be bigger and better in terms of gameplay and the Disney worlds being offered in the agme. Three Disney worlds have been announced from movies such as "Hercules", "Tangled" and "Big Hero 6".

Other Disney worlds being teased in "Kingdom Hearts 3" include "Frozen". "Wreck-it Ralph", "Brave", "Zootopia", "The Jungle Book", "Toy Story" and many more.

Game co-director Tai Yasue also teased that Sora and company will meet characters from the Star Wars and Marvel franchises in "Kingdom Hearts 3", but it will take awhile for Square Enix to acquire the rights from Disney. Multiple sources speculated that the cancellation of "Disney Infinity" could be the window for Square Enix to gain the licensed rights of Marvel and Star Wars and be included in "Kingdom Hearts 3" development.

There is also rumors that "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be ported for the PC as Square Enix's recent focus on bringing previously console exclusive games to the PC. Square Enix plans to have an episodic style launch for "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Nomura state in an interview that there are plans for a episodic release due to the fact that the scale of the sequel's story will be huge and he is overwhelmed about it.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
