"Seasons of Heaven" is an adventure game developed by French indie studio AnyArts Production exclusive for the upcoming Nintendo Swich gaming console. A teaser trailer was released for the game ahead of a full reveal trailer scheduled for Monday, Dec. 19.
Game fans will be put in the shoes of Yann, a young boy who suffers with Asperger syndrome, and his friend, a French bulldog named Ani. Players will be able to alternately switch between the boy and the dog during game play, but each will have a different set of adventures, according to WCCFTech.
The two characters' skill sets are also different, with the dog able to communicate through telepathy. He explores the game area called Heaven. Natural elements of the surrounding area are said to play an important role in the game although no official statement has been made yet by the developer.
The game runs on Unreal Engine 4. A teaser trailer was also released by the studio to give gamers an idea on what to expect from the game. However, no gameplay was shown in the short clip -- it mostly shows a forest landscape that gamers will encounter. It also remains unknown if the video came from a direct feed from the Nintendo Switch.
Last week, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" was featured on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and was the first time that the game was seen directly played on the upcoming gaming device. Nintendo U.S.A. president Reggie Fils-Aime and legendary game creator Shigeru Miyamoto were in the show and allowed host Jimmy Fallon to have a first hand experience playing the game on the upcoming console. Fallon, who is an avid gamer, could not hide his excitement playing the game demo on the Nintendo Switch.
The "Seasons of Heaven" game has no release date yet, but the Nintendo Switch video game console is scheduled for a March 2017 release.
