"De-former's" developer Ready at Dawn has announced a release date for its next offering. The upcoming game will roll out on Feb. 14, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
The studio has announced that fans will get to experience their smash 'em up arena combat game starting Valentine's Day. Aside from the digital version, the game will also be available in a physical form that will be exclusively distributed by GameStop. Both versions will be available for $29.99 and is now available for pre-order, according to the company announcement.
Ready at Dawn is also offering a "De-formers" Collector's Edition. For $39.99, game fans will receive a physical copy of the game, a custom Steelbook case, Steam cad with digital game code (for PC version), a sountrack disc, four vinyl figures for its game characters, and stickers, including the "Deformer's" logo and the characters Sue and Pugglesworth. This is the second game that GameStop is publishing under its GameTrust label.
"De-former" offers a fast and frantic gameplay that heavily focus on multiplayer and online play. Players will take control of creatures called Forms and will have to beat other players' Forms in the arena. The game characters can roll, jump, shoot and throw themselves to opponents while defending themselves from similar attacks from other Forms. There are also Power-ups to collect to be more powerful as well as Tribs that drop from other players, which will make their own characters bigger and stronger, added its GameStop page.
The Forms are categorized into five classes: Ranger, Striker, Guardian, Marksman and Speedster. The Ranger is the most well-rounded of all in terms of skills, the Striker class is the brute amongst them and tries to ram everyone else, and the Guardian is one that tries to block every attack. The Marskman class holds an exceptional shooting skill, while the Speedster is the smallest and fastest of them all.
"De-former" is slated for release on Feb. 14, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Gamers putting in pre-orders will enjoy a DLC pack with exclusive characters upon the game's release next year.
