Produced and marketed by Samsung Electronics, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a discontinued Android phablet smartphone.

Samsung is still haunted with the blunders of its fire-prone Galaxy Note 7. But reports say that it will launch next year its newest major product, the Galaxy S8.

No photos are available yet about S8 prototype as the information came from leaked' reports, which provided only few details. The newest product is a bezel-less handset with an iris scanner and curved display, according to BGR.

Earlier, Samsung was caught in trouble following complaints from Galaxy Note 7 users about the defective handset. These concerns prompted the company to implement massive recall of the product and it also halted its production. The Galaxy Note 7 blunder costs Samsung about $9.5 billion in lost sales, CNN reported.

Meanwhile, Samsung is not pleased with the data breach that led to the prototype leak of its its Galaxy S8. In its internal memo to employees, which also leaked to outsiders, the management said that it felt deep regrets about the breach on its internal data.

Samsung has experienced in the past some security breach which compromised its product designs and other vital company information such as business strategies and others. These breaches caused significant damages to the company.

On the other hand, Samsung has already investigated what went wrong with the Note 7 fire-prone components but the company reportedly still withholds the result of the investigations. Some people earlier assumed that the problem originated from Samsung's initiative to rush the product development of the Galaxy Note 7 to rival Apple's iPhone 7.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled in August 2016 as a successor of the Galaxy Note 5 and staunch rival of iPhone 7. The news about its tendency to caught fire while charging started to surface in October and the voluntary product recall was made by the company in November.

Samsung is expecting to make a rebound from its great loss with the launch of Galaxy S8, which according to reports would be set in April 2017. The following video gives more details about the device:
