Miley Cyrus's VMA 2015 artist Jen Stark is now working with Google for Pixel phone cases. Google is appealing to the art world with new specially-designed phone cases from illustrators Craig & Karl, fashion designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Opening Ceremony, as well as artist Stark.

Stark usually works with paper sculptures to come up with nature-inspired brightly colored and kaleidoscopic patterns. She is known for her psychedelic art and intricately-patterned designs made from cut paper. The artist applies technicolor and creative approach with her collaboration with the search engine titan.

"I don't usually do too many commercial things," Stark told artnet news in Miami Beach. "But when Google approached me it seemed like a really cool project."

The Miami-born artist produced five various designs for the Pixel phone which was released in October and has impressed its early adopters with its 12.3MP camera and long battery life. One of the cases is like a vortex or a wormhole that opens up.

Working with Google for the cases of its Pixel phone makes Stark excited. The smartphone is being carried around by people every day and that many will be interacting with her work regularly. It will give the artist's artwork so much exposure, she told The Tab in another interview.

Google unveiled its first collaboration with artists in May, when it teamed up with artist Jeff Koons for a Nexus phone case.  Its Artwork Live Cases project which has cases for Google Nexus and Pixel phones will be available for viewing at its SoHo pop-up shop and will also be sold online.

Stark also considers her collaboration with Cyrus as amazing. She created for Cyrus a wormhole that features the pop star's dramatic entrance at the VMA 2015 along with videos and billboards that promote the awards show.

The artist sees the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker as a free spirit whose vision is very creative. Her project with the musical artist helped her grow and think outside the box as it draws more eyes to her work.
