Dead or Alive Xtreme 3

The holidays can be cold but for gamers, it is a time for celebration and sexy Santa costumes with the new add-on for the "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3" game. Also, the upcoming "Musou Stars" game might use the Soft Engine from the game.

According to Dual Shockers, Koei Tecmo, the company behind "Dead or Alive 3 Xtreme 3," has released a new outfit to match the holiday spirit. The new costume, aptly named "Santa Claus" is now available on the Japanese and the Asian PlayStation Store. This is also available for the English copy of the game in order to cater to the Western audiences.

Of course, this is not the first Holiday-themed costume for the game, as its previous set was inspired by a reindeer named Biscuit. It is available for both the PS4 and the PS Vita. As always, the costumes can be obtained through paying a certain amount of in-game Zack Dollars, and the costume is only available for a limited amount of time before they are rotated out to pave the way for the new ones.

Meanwhile, according to Silicon Era, Koei Tecmo also revealed in the latest issue of the Famitsu Magazine that two of the popular characters from the "Dead or Alive" series, Honoka and Marie Rose, are added as playable characters to the "Musou Stars" game. In light of this, producer Masaki Furusawa said that he would certainly want to use a bit of the engine used in "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3," called the Soft Engine.

The Soft Engine, first used for "Dead or Alive 5: Last Round" and upgraded to the Soft Engine 2.0 for "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3," is a specially crafted engine made by Team Ninja. It serves as a visual enhancement, making sure that the skin will look softer and show more elasticity, especially around chest and buttocks areas. As such, "Musou Stars," once its gets released on March 2, 2017, will be like a lite version of "Dead or Alive Xtreme 3."
