Game developer EA DICE is not going to let this year pass without offering their own holiday event within "Battlefield 1." They are offering a new game mode, and it gives players a chance to get Battlepacks and a dog tag.
On Dec. 21, a custom game called Blind Delivery became available. This is a variation of the War Pigeons game mode. The minimap is turned off, thus the name of the game. Moreover, players are allowed to carry only handguns and explosives, according to the event's official announcement. They can access the event in the Custom Game tab under the multiplayer menu, Game Spot reported.
From Dec. 22 until Dec. 29, all players who log in to their respective game accounts will receive the Holiday Truce dog tag. This item is limited to only one per account. Additionally, a Battlepack that contains vehicle skins for two heavy tanks will become available, a first for the game. Players receiving the bonus will have the Distinguished "SchnucK" or the Legendary "Desert Gold" skins.
Additionally, players who log in to their "Battlefield 1" account between Dec. 23 and Dec. 29 will receive a Battlepack, which includes weapons skins that are categorized into Special, Distinguished and Legendary . Lucky gamers will also find a unique craftable melee weapon.
These Battlebacks, likewise categorized into Enhanced and Superior, can be obtained by playing multiplayer matches. Those who are not interested in their prizes can exchange them for Scraps, the in-game currency.
The announcement also mentioned that "Battlefield 1" Premium Pass holders will receive two Superior Battlepacks for the duration of the event. This is in addition to the 14 Superior Battlepacks that they are already entitled to.
"Battlefield 1" is a first-person shooting game released worldwide last October by publisher Electronic Arts. It is the 15th title in the "Battlefield" game series and is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
