Even Indonesians are getting irritated at how their countrymen are spamming the Instagram accounts of “Descendants of the Sun” stars Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong-ki with the “Om Telolet Om” memes.

At first, some of the real Indonesian fans of the two Korean actors apologized for the immature behavior of young Indonesians whom dinidinns described in a post on Song Hye Kyo’s Instagram as immature and lacking respect for others. Dinidinns not only questions if these spammers are real fans of the “Descendants of the Sun” actress, she has gone one step ahead by reporting them since Thursday to ban them on social media.

Beth.cordova agreed and wrote, “Let's report all these nonsense individuals who keeps posting inappropriate comments. I hope they will be banned from social media!” luvumuchyekyo supported the call to report those who post the meme as spammers, especially those who post it repeatedly.

However, despite the requests of some of Song Hye Kyo’s real fans for Indonesians to stop spamming her, there are now variations of the meme. Hanumdiah29 posted “Aunt telolet aunt” and “Tante telolet tante.”

Because of the continuous posting of the spam, yiiilin X said she will not support Indonesia again “in any way or shape” and call Indonesia “the most disgusting country on this earth.”

Besides the two Korean stars, Indonesians have also spammed other high-profile music artists such as DJ Snake and Ansel Elgort. Since this week, Mirror estimates that almost 1 million have posted the meme on social media. In Shanghai, China, BamBam, a K-Pop singer, asked in a tweet what does the meme mean, Billboard reported.

Meanwhile, on Song Joong-ki’a Instagram, his real fans just ignore the spammer and now are asking the actor if the newest photo he posted comes from the movie set of “Battleship Island” or “Train to Busan 2.” It is the eighth photo from the “Battleship Island” shooting that Song Joong-ki has shared in the last few days.

The latest showed the actor with five adults and a young girl who was obviously celebrating an important even based on the large cake in front of her.
