Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Will Smith (Deadshot) talk about "Suicide Squad" at the 2015 Comic-Con International in California.

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is definitely leading the pack in the DC Comics Universe's upcoming movie "Gotham City Sirens." The movie will gather together all of DC's female heroes and villains in one theatrical feast. Much of Harley Quinn's story in "Suicide Squad" was anchor on her love story with The Joker, played by Jared Leto. With "Gotham City Sirens" confirmed for the big screen, will the Joker also make an appearance?

DC Comics and Warner Bros. has not release a statement about whether any male character will appear in "Gotham City Sirens." However, it is possible that Ben Affleck might reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

For fans who have been aching to see more of Harley Quinn and The Joker's relationship on the big screen, "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer teased that a sequel or a spinoff will center on the couple's story.

"The Joker/Harley relationship just seemed like the right button for the movie," Ayer told Express, addressing complaints about Jared Leto's lack of screen time in "Suicide Squad. "It opens so many doors if another one of these were ever to turn up under a rock somewhere."

The "Suicide Squad" Blu-Ray extended version will feature more clips of The Joker and Harley Quinn that were not included in the theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Ayer has also confirmed the lineup for the "Gotham City Sirens," which includes Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. The movie, which will "showcase the top female villains from the DC stable," will be written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Robbie is attached as an executive producer. Ayer is set to direct "Gotham City Sirens."

Megan Fox is reportedly in the running to play Poison Ivy, a role previously portrayed by Uma Thurman in "Batman & Robin." Odette Annable, on the other hand, is a fan favorite for the role of Catwoman. Sources claim that official casting news could be expected soon.

As per Comicbook, "Gotham City Sirens" will start its production in the summer of 2017. As of this writing, no release date for "Gotham City Sirens" has been announced.
