‘Dragon Ball Super’ episode 72 recap, review: [Spoiler] hired Hit to kill Goku!

‘Dragon Ball Super’ not ending post Universe Survival Arc: Rumors rubbished as DBS is making major money

Hit vs. Goku enters the conclusion stage in episode 72 of the anime series. "Dragon Ball Super" episode 72 also reveals who hired Hit to assassinate Goku.

"Dragon Ball Super" Episode 72 Recap and Review

The episode begins with from where we left in the last episode. Goku is dead and Piccolo tries to revive him by giving him CPR. However, it is not working. However, they witness the ki blast fired by Goku in the previous episode returning to Earth.

The ki blast revives Goku. He comes to his senses and wonders what they are doing there. Goku tells them that the new move by Hit surpasses the Time-Skip technique. He insists that he wants to fight Hit again. Piccolo says that since Goku has saved Earth, so he has the right to fight Hit.

Goku calls Hit and tells him that he is not dead yet. But, Hit tells him that he has killed him already and his job is done.

In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 72, Goku still wants to battle Hit. He believes that he has figured Hit's new move. Goku says Hit can make fakes of his energy and able to surprise him.

Goku increases the intensity of his ki so that Hit can locate him. The Saiyan acknowledges that Hit has become stronger after their last encounter at the tournament.

Meanwhile, Vegeta is tired after the training and promises Whis to give him a steak. Champa is curious why Son Goku is still alive.

Vados tells Champa that Hit has the ability to move through parallel worlds and he can move without others seeing him. Vados also explains that Hit is no longer fighting Goku as an assassin but as a martial artist.

Meanwhile, Beerus wants Goku to finish to fight as quickly as he can. Goku fires a strong blast to take down Hit.

Vegeta asks who enlisted Hit to kill Goku

Later, Goku reveals that he himself hired Hit to assassinate him. Goku asked Whis to help him get in touch with Vados and she passed the message to Hit.

Elsewhere, Chi Chi learns about an assassin going after Goku and thinks that Frost is the one. Goku wants Vegeta to keep this a secret.

The episode ends.

"Dragon Ball Super" goes on a hiatus and episode 73 will not air on Jan. 1, 2017.
