The latest details and possible spoilers for "Justice League" movie will feature another clash between Batman and Superman, Lex Luthor's role in the film and a new trailer dropping soon.
It seems that the rivalry between Kal-El/Superman (Henry Cavill) and Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) is far from over as cast member Henry Cavill told Total Film (via Screenrant) that both heroes will have a disagreements over the leadership of the league.
After Superman's death at the hands of Doomsday during "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", Bruce Wayne begins to assemble the league using Lex Luthor's (Jesse Eisenberg) metahuman thesis and Amanda Waller's (Viola Davis) assessment files in "Suicide Squad".
Bruce recruits metahumans such as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to fight an incoming threat from Apokalips led by Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds).
Whether this conflict between Batman an Superman in "Justice League" movie could be a tongue-in-cheek banter or as deadly serious as most things in the DCEU is still uncertain. Considering Batman and Wonder Woman went through all the trouble of assembling the team in the first place, it seems presumptuous of Superman to even joke about leading the organization, not to mention fashionably late to join them. Though considering the numerous examples of poor judgment Batman illustrated over a short span of time, it’s possible Superman would argue he is unfit to lead as well.
In other news, the next trailer for the "Justice League" has been teased online by director Zack Snyder. This started by Instagram username Mikah McAllister as he posted a photo of him and Snyder himself, but the interesting factor here is the captions he used on the picture as McAllister asked the "300" helmer if he could do a video with him so that viewers and aspiring film makers will be inspired to make movies.
Snyder stated that a promo for "Justice League" will be out very soon, which he could only say at the moment. He has stoked the fans with a handful of "League" images and last month, DC suggested the next trailer could arrive as early as December. If the teaser and the recent hearsay from Snyder are accurate, fans could be treated to an exciting gift from Warner Bros. this Christmas.
The trailer could feature Superman's return sporting a long hair, beard and the iconic black suit, as well as Steppenwolf's first live-action appearance.
Lastly, Lex Luthor has been confirmed to return to the "Justice League" movie and has some serious plans in mind. He will be released from jail and tries to convince the public that costume heroes and metahumans are a threat, but ultimately fails to do so.
Luthor is said to be more manipulative and calmer in the film and he has struck a deal with Steppenwolf to invade earth in exchange for technology and knowledge from the universe, ScreenGeek reported.
"Justice League" movie is scheduled on Nov. 17, 2017.
