‘Dragon Ball Super’ Episode 73 is Not Airing on New Year’s Day, Jan 1, 2017: New Airdate and Spoilers

The two-episode Hit vs. Son Goku concluded with episode 72 and the new episode is scheduled to air on Jan. 8, 2017. Yes, no "Dragon Ball Super" 73 on Jan. 1, 2017 on Fuji TV. Episode 73 is set to focus on Gohan becoming a part of a movie featuring Mister Satan.

The preview starts with the announcement of a shot at a movie set and we see the Great Saiyaman. The director can be seen instructing the crew in the opening shot.

The episode focuses on the movie based on Great Saiyaman. One of the shots in the preview trailer shows a tank facing the Great Saiyaman. Later, Gohan announces that he offers to play the part of the Great Saiyaman.

In the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 preview video, we can see Barry Kahn, who is a famous superstar. Barry Kahn was featured in Dragon Ball manga. The preview also shows Videl and others.

The scene cuts to Son Goku with King Kai and Gregory and it appears that Goku is training. The scene again cuts to a shot of Krillin dealing with criminals.

"Hello, it's Gohan. Something terrible has happened. They' re making a Great Saiyaman movie! And I'm going to be a stunt man for Great Saiyaman. This is a pickle. But... the spread of evil cannot be forgiven!" reads the translation of the promo video.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 airs Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 on Fuji TV.
