'Final Fantasy XV' rumors: PC version set for 2018 release likely; Tips on how to obtain the Apocalypse Greatsword revealed [VIDEO]

Final Fantasy XV (ファイナルファンタジーXV Fainaru Fantajī Fifutīn?) is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and currently scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016.

New details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature a possible 2018 release date for the PC version and tips on how to obtain the Apocalypse Greatsword in the game.

It seems that Square Enix will likely launch "Final Fantasy XV" in 2018 for the PC version as the Japanese developers will have ambigous plans for "Final Fantasy" for next year.

Square Enix plans to launch the first episode of "Final Fantasy 7" remake sometime within 2017 for the PlayStation 4 along with other "FF" titles, such as "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" and "Final Fantasy XIII" trilogy with 1080p and 60fps. Several reports claim that episode 1 could launch on March next year.

In addition, Square Enix also plans to have a "Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection" for the PS4 and PS Vita. The collection will contain "Final Fantasy" games from the very first to ninth title, not to mention that "Final Fantasy XV" and Final Fantasy 7" remake could be out on the PC sometime in 2018.

However, producer Shinji Hashimoto stated that the leaked details are just plain rumors as they have not yet made any such announcement.

Despit the claim, game director Hajime Tabata stated in an interview that it will take more than a year for "Final Fantasy XV" to develop for the PC as he and his team wanted to provide a better version of the game for users compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

PC users were adamant about having "Final Fantasy XV" for the PC going to the point that they made online petition for Square Enix to think and reconsider several years back due to being focused on the console versions, WCCFTech reported.

In other news, players who looking to gain one of the most powerful weapons in "Final Fantasy XV" then here some tips on how to obtain the Apocalypse Greatwsword.

According to Gamepur, the Apocalypse is the best weapon within "FFXV" with an attack of 597 and boosts HP up to 403. In order to get the Apocalypse greatsword, players will need to complete the full story campaign.

After finishing campaing, players will need to get the Dungeon Seal Key by completing the specific dungeons. Once the player has the key, they will need to take on the quest called "A Menace Sleeps in Balouve".

When players complete the quest, go to the Balouve Mines dungeon. Inside they will come across the boss whom they need to defeat.

Be warned that the enemies in the dungeon are at level 75 so if players are lower in level make sure to use some legendary weapons. Near to that place they will find a small gap in the wall, in which the player will find the secret dungeon door.

Enter inside and keep going until the player come across Apocalypse. Players will find it on the floor at the first camp site which is found five floors down to the place the player is right now.

Previous reports hinted that game producer Haruyoshi Sawatari teased a new DLC character could be added to "Final Fantasy XV" soon.

Sawatari teased that Noctis' love interest Lunafreya Nox Flueret could be a playable character if the gaming fans demanded it and will discuss it with the developers.

Square Enix previously announced that "Final Fantasy XV" will have a online multiplayer feature as a series of DLC as players can play as Noctis, while other players can control his friends Gladioulus, Ignis and Prompto. It has been suggested that this content will take players to completely new locations not found in the main "Final Fantasy XV" game, but Sawatari explained that the multiplayer DLC for the sequel is still in the planning stages.

Aside from Luna, there are also speculations that Square Enix will be increasing the power of magic ring. This is a welcome addition as reviewers have mentioned that magic in "Final Fantasy XV" is next to useless

The developers plans to improve the production values of chapter 13 to enhance the story experience of "Final Fantasy XV". These include added cutscenes that will require additional voice over work and localization, requiring some degree of work hence Square Enix put these changes on the medium term plan.

"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
