Visitors experience Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices during the Korea Electronics Grand Fair at an exhibition hall in Seoul on October 27, 2016.

Samsung is pushing the fifth Android Nougat Beta update for their Galaxy S7 devices. Users under the Galaxy Beta Program will be able to get the new update for their smartphone.

The update includes several bug fixes for the previous versions and overall improvements that are expected to be carried on over to the final public release. Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge users from selected parts of the world were allowed to join the Galaxy Beta Program so that they may contribute in the testing of the Android 7.0 Nougat version for their devices.

Google Pixel, Pixel XL and the LG V20 already have the latest Android version out of the box. They work quite well but smartphones that are currently on 6.0 Marshmallow sometimes have problems updating to the newer version. In fact, Huawei's Nexus 6P has been the victim of several bootloop reports from its users after trying to update.

Samsung's latest Android Nougat Beta build has the firmware version G935FXXU1ZPLN for the Galaxy S7 Edge, Android Headlines reported. It includes the resolution for the rebooting issue that several S7 users were having under the program. The smartphone randomly reboots at times and it could be disruptive for the user's everyday tasks.

The new update also includes a new feature that improves the lockscreen with transparency for the notifications pane. It helps the user see their background even if they are scrolling down the notifications on top of the Galaxy S7's screen.

Interested users should note that the latest Samsung Galaxy Beta program update for S7 Nougat takes around 300MB of storage space, WCCFTech reported. They should clean up space to make room for the update but this is not really a problem for those who have an external microSD card.

Samsung has not yet announced when they are going to launch the final public version of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Android Nougat version. There may be other beta versions after the fifth one that was recently released.
