"The Flash" Season 3 will soon see Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) messing with the timeline for the second time.

In the midseason finale episode, Barry found out that his girlfriend, Iris West (Candice Patton), will die within five months. A concerned Barry could not keep the secret all to himself so Iris asked what has been troubling him. Barry was left with no other choice but to tell Iris that she would die. The latter is worried too about what the future holds, but Barry appeased her by saying that he would do anything and everything to make sure that she would live.

When "The Flash" Season 3 premiered a few months ago, the change in the timeline became the series' overarching arc. In an attempt to spend more time with his parents, Barry decided to change the timeline without considering the damages it could do especially to his loved one. This time around, Barry may be left with no other choice but to change the timeline again if this could mean that Iris would live longer.

Meanwhile, Barry will find one person he could team up with to help save Iris, and he would soon decide to work with Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). After all, Wally is Iris' brother so he would also do everything to make sure that she would live. The newly-trained Kid Flash will apply everything that he learned from HR in the previous episodes. Unfortunately, Barry and Wally will also butt heads in the upcoming episodes.

In other news, Barry will also come face to face with a so-called The Black Flash or Zoom. In the previous episode, Barry already defeated the villainous character. While speaking with Digital Spy, "The Flash" cast member Teddy Sears confirmed the return of his character, but in a different form. "Zoom has been transformed into the Black Flash, who has quite a place in the mythology of The Flash. He is like the grim reaper for speedsters," he said.

"The Flash" Season 3, episode 10 titled, "Borrowing Problems from the Future," will air on The CW on Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. EST.
