Xiaomi Mi 6 and LG G6 release date is all set to beat Samsung Galaxy S8.
Earlier reports suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be released on February 14. However, other reports claimed that the device will be released in April.
It was believed that the April delay is occurring because of delay in production. The tech giant Samsung is behind the deadline to manufacture the Snapdragon 835 chipsets for Qualcomm that will be used in the Xiaomi device.
If new reports are anything to go by, there is no delay in production. It is said that the Mi 6 will be launched on February 6, 2017, GSMArena reported.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come in three processor variants, according to reports. The three variants are Xiaomi Mi 6P, Mi 6E and Mi 6S, depending the processor.
Various reports indicate that the upcoming smartphone will sport a 2.5D curved screen with a metal back. A physical home button is also expected that will work as a fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to come with Quick Charge 4.0 and through this owners will require to charge their smartphone for five minutes for a usage time of five hours.
It is said that the forthcoming device will run Android 7.1 Nougat or Android 7.0 Nougat update. Speculations are doing the rounds that the Mi 6 will have support for USB Type-C and will have 6GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi device is expected to have a 4MP front camera and a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. It is expected that the rear camera will shoot 4K recording quality videos. Also, the device is rumored to have a 3,000mAh battery.
Meanwhile, if reports are anything to go by, LG G6 smartphone will be available much sooner than Samsung Galaxy S8. The device will be launched in February 2017. The Galaxy S8 is rumored to be launched in April next year.
The LG device will reportedly ditch the modular design in favor of a sleeker look, iDigitalTimes reported. Furthermore, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, front-facing speakers, a USB Type-C port on the bottom, a fingerprint scanner on the back and dual rear camera setup.
The electronics company will release the LG G6 as a standalone device and may release a number of accessories that will connect with it wirelessly. LG has announced plans to release a number of Bluetooth Wireless audio devices at Consumer Electronics Show.
