"Big Bang Theory" Season 10 recently saw Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) moving in together. However, viewers have not forgotten that in Season 9, Sheldon wanted to give Amy what looked like a wedding ring.
At that time, Sheldon was ready to give the ring to Amy when he saw her kissing another man. A very sad Sheldon went home and took the ring which he has been hiding in his drawer. Since then, there has not been any mention about the ring, but Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) found out about it much later on in the episode.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Steve Molaro said that Sheldon and Amy still do not have any plans to tie to knot. However, the engagement ring may come into play during the second half of Season 10. "Right now, there is such a new world of living together and what that means, and working that out. That has offered a boat load of fun stories, so I do not think we are in a rush for an engagement. Everyone knows that ring is floating around. Who knows when? I am excited to find out," he said.
Meanwhile, Molaro has always been very honest with his answers when it comes to the characters and storylines from "Big Bang Theory." In the past, the EP confirmed that Leonard's show will be introduced, and he did. Penny's brother and mother also made it to the premiere episode of "Big Bang Theory" Season 10. Molaro also announced that Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) will be giving birth to their child, and they did. By the looks of it, an engagement will really happen very soon.
However, the fate of "Big Bang Theory" remains to be unknown since the sitcom has not received a go from CBS and Warner Bros. There have also been rumors that "Big Bang Theory" will be saying goodbye at the end of Season 10 or the show might only be renewed for an 11th and final season.
"Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will return to CBS in January 2017.
