The Samsung Focus App, despite being announced under the radar, is an all-in-one productivity app. it is used to integrate emails, contacts, memos, and a calendar through the use of tabs.
According to Digital Trends, the Samsung Focus notifies the user whenever a registered keyword appears in an email or a schedule. Also, individual email senders can be set as priority in order to ensure that the messages will show up first before other contacts for convenience.
Furthermore, the app allows users to use email to send out meeting requests to set up conference calls within the app itself. Additionally, the Focus automatically arranges emails as well as scheduled events for users to better manage prior appointments and the like. Basically, the Google Now-based interface is used to these, with cards used in order to show more pieces of information that also comes with a universal search feature as well.
Other features the Focus possesses include syncing capabilities with a PC, with an integrated email inbox which collects emails from various sources. Thankfully, the app does not have any allocated cloud servers, which means that Samsung will not have any means of accessing and storing user data, addressing the privacy concern expressed by a lot of email app users.
The Samsung Focus app, according to Slash Gear, is available for the Android Devices that runs the Android OS version 6.0.1 Marshmallow or above. The app is identified as a unified productivity application, and it works with a variety of backend services, such as the IMAP, POP3, Office 365, Hotmail, Outlook.com, and Exchange ActiveSync, merging these in order to put them in one interface.
The Focus app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for free. Once installed, the user can set up all work accounts, memos, and others within it.
