Girls' Generation member Seohyun will likely debut as a solo artist. She is said to be preparing for her solo album and when the schedule is confirmed, there will be an official announcement.

If pushed through, Seohyun will be the fourth member of Girls' Generation to have a solo album. The eight-member girl group who just celebrated their nine years together in August 2016 as Korea's reigning pop princesses has Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Hyoyeon who already made their solo debuts.

Seohyun has contributed a soundtrack to Korean drama 'Fashion King" in 2012. She also appeared in the musicals "The Moon Who Embraces the Sun" in 2013, "Gone With the Wind" in 2014 and "Mamma Mia" in 2016.

The 25-year-old Girls' Generation member made her acting debut in the SBS 2016 hit, "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo." She played as Woo Hee, the beautiful last princess of Baekje who wanted to avenge her family and country on the imperial family of Goryeo.

The SM Entertainment talent received a Special Acting Award for Fantasy Drama for her acting in "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," Soompi reported. She will be the lead actress in OnStyle's upcoming web drama "Ruby Ruby Love."

"Ruby Ruby Love" is a fantasy rom-com that tells the story of Seohyun's character Lee Ruby, a young woman who has sociophobia but has a magic ring that helps her become a successful jewelry designer. Model-turned-actor Lee Cheol Woo will act as Won Suk, Ruby's one and only friend. His character will try his best to help her out and their relationship could blossom into romantic love.

Battling against Won Suk will be Na Ji Suk, the CEO of a jewelry firm who has a crush on Ruby for a year. He will be portrayed by Lee Yi Kyung. Joining Seohyun, Cheol Woo and Yi Kyung in the cast are Hwang Seok Jeong and Z. Hera.

The five-episode series "Ruby Ruby Love" is produced with the support of Seoul Metropolitan City and features the jewelry industry. It will air its first two episodes on Jan. 18 on Naver. The remaining three will be released on Jan. 19, 25 and 26, Naver reported.
