After news concerning the launch of 5 Nokia smartphones by HMD Global came out, including those of the Nokia D1C, a new report has now surfaced, claiming that the company is eyeing on releasing more than just five Nokia-branded devices.

According to The Mobile Indian, the report emanated from the Malaysian distributor dubbed Avaxx, which claims that HMD Global will launch 6-7 Nokia phones this year. The devices will be spread across all price variations, including low-end, midrange and high-end phones.

As per the presentation slide made by Avaxx, the company will also release a series of Nokia feature phones. This update comes after a new Nokia-branded phone (suspected to be the Nokia E1) with a model number 'TA-1000' received a 3C certification in China last week.

Apart from rumors, there is no much information regarding these devices. However, according to leaked details from several benchmarking sites, the long rumored Nokia D1C is expected to fall in the mid-range category with decent specs.

Another Nokia flagship that surfaced towards the end of last year is projected to arrive in two models, the first one with a 5.5-inch display and the other with a 5.2-inch one. Both variants will sport Quad HD resolution and will carry powerful rear cameras with Carl Zeiss optics and snapdragon 820 chips.

Further, as per the leaks, these Nokia devices will come with IP68 certification for both water and dust resistance.  Surprisingly, these specs match with those of the Nokia P1, another phone rumored in 2015 and manufactured by the same company.

The whole list of expected phones includes Nokia DLC, Nokia P1, Nokia C1, Nokia E1, Nokia Lumia 1525, Nokia Lumia 729, and Nokia Lumia 1820. According to Phone Arena, while there is some truth in the upcoming 6-7 Nokia Android phones being launched in Malaysia via Avaxx, it is not yet clear if all of them will be available in the United States.

In any case, Nokia fans should wait for news at MWC 2017 next month when Nokia and HMD will announce at least one of their Android phones.
