'This is Us' actors Susan Kelechi Watson, Mandy Moore and Chris Sullivan attend The 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards after party at Barker Hangar on December 11, 2016 in Santa Monica, California.

Before her triplets are born, Rebecca will feel stressed that frazzled. As a result, she will forget that it is Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) birthday. By the looks of it, Rebecca will be very apologetic for forgetting her husband's birthday and will try to make up for it. Jack, who is usually very cool, will most definitely forgive her for forgetting it this one time.

Elsewhere, Dr. K (Gerald McRaney) will continue to mourn the death of his wife. He will also wonder how he could possibly survive without her. In the flash forward episode, it has already been revealed that Dr. K will survive the loss and will live a long life. However, as he ages, he will suffer from a serious illness and would have to undergo surgery.

Additionally, Joe, the person who delivered Randall (Sterling K. Brown), will struggle to save his marriage. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not he will be successful in trying to do so.

Meanwhile, "This Is Us" will return with new episodes starting this month. In the midseason finale, a shocking storyline about Toby (Chris Sullivan) was shown. On Christmas Day, the character traveled all the way to a different state to be with his girlfriend Kate (Chrissy Metz).

During the festivities, Toby hyperventilates and passes out on the floor. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. Sullivan later on spoke with Entertainment Weekly to say that he knows for sure whether or not Toby will survive. Unfortunately, he is not in liberty to reveal any information to fans.

"The writing team did a really deft and delicate job at putting all the signs out there, and foreshadowing without being too heavy-handed. And then they, of course, get into the editing room, and the work that everybody does on the show from front to back is pretty outstanding," he said.

"This Is Us" will return to NBC with episode 11, titled "The Right Thing To Do" on Jan. 10.
