Rumored solo debut of f(x)'s Krystal is undecided - SM Entertainment

Several members of South Korean boy or girl bands have also endeavored going solo and talents of titan agency SM Entertainment are no exemptions. Most recently, it was rumored that American-Korean singer, actress and model Chrystal Soo Jung, better known by her mononym, Krystal of f(x) is preparing for a solo debut sometime in February.

However, the rumor remains as it is. Krystal's agency did not confirm her solo debut on Jan. 5, Thursday.

"Right now, nothing has been decided about Krystal promoting solo," Naver quoted SM telling Korean entertainment media, OSEN. With such statement from the label, it looks like Krystal's fans still have to wait for her solo debut.

Krystal's bandmates Amber and Luna already made their solo debuts. Amber did so in in 2015 with "Shake That Brass" while Luna did "Free Somebody" in 2016. The four girl group f(x) debuted in 2009 with Krystal as the lead vocalist.

With her stunning looks and perfect body, the San Fransisco-born K-pop star has been dubbed as an "idol goddess." She has drawn a lot of attention in commercial films and won first prize as the Best Female Fashionista in 2015 in Fashionista Awards.  In 2016, she was awarded the Fashion Icon Goddess Awards, and as the Best Female Fashionista and Photogonic Celebrity of the Year. 

The last quarter of 2016 had Krystal featured in the 2017 worldwide campaign of American shoe brand, Ked, Billboard reported. That honor includes being featured alongside fashionistas such as Taylor Swift, Ciara, Allison Williams and Tori Kelly  ho have modeled and worked with the shoe brand.

The 22-year-old songstress has proven herself as a singer and performer. That is why she gained many followers who are eager to see her going solo.

As an actress, Krystal appeared in several Korean dramas like "High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged" in 2011, "The Heirs" in 2013 and the ongoing "Legend of the Blue Sea" on SBS. She got the leading role in SBS' "My Lovely Girl" in 2014 as well as in the upcoming "Graduation Season" this year.
