The wait for Apple's iPad Pro has likely been extended as no reports concerning its release has so far been made. However, another yet interesting tablet-laptop combo in the form of Surface Pro 4 might entertain us before that.

Surface Pro 4 would come in two configurations both 12 inch and 14 inch versions with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1440, suggested the a news site, Inquisitr. It would also use the Core M Broadwell chip used in the fan less laptops. This chip might also be featured in Apple's 12 inch Retina MacBook, as per reports by Christian Post.

The Surface Pro is likely to release somewhere in July, though there has been no official release date made by Microsoft. Microsoft has also scheduled the launching of Windows 10 this year. Windows 10 will feature a huge upgrade in the desktop and mobile operating systems, as reported by Tech Radar.

If Microsoft's Surface Pro is released later than expected it might also have Intel Core M and might also get the much awaited Windows 10 on it. There are rumors that Surface Pro 4 might even be priced lower than Surface Pro 3 to encourage sales.

Talk about the Surface Pro Mini have also been refreshed by Inquisitr. The launch of Microsoft's smaller tablet was speculated to be in 2014 but did not. Mini might also be released this year somewhere around the same time as Windows 10.

If Surface Pro 4 is released sooner, Microsoft might be able to gain an edge over Apple by capitalizing on Apple's failure and introducing their something new. However, customers might not have so much to look forward to without the Windows 10 that is set to release only next year.
