AMD Ryzen specs, price point, and release date still remain highly valued commodity online. With AMD's latest revelation at the CES 2017 event, additional details have been reported online that included overclocking features and potential Zen architecture lifespan. 

One of the highly anticipated products during the CES event in Las Vegas this year is the Ryzen CPU from AMD. Since its first public debut, many gamers and enthusiasts have been longing to learn more about AMD Ryzen's specs. With its latest key takeaways during CES event, it was revealed that all Ryzen CPUs will be multiplier unlocked and ready for overclocking right out of the box, according to Wccf Tech.

During the event, it was also announced that Ryzen processor will come in various configurations with different core counts, 8-core supporting sixteen threads being the highest. Additionally, Ryzen CPUs compatible with AM4 socket motherboards will come in four different chipset, giving gamers more options to choose from.

Apart from the recently unveiled features of AMD, the same publication also hinted that AMD Ryzen launch date is scheduled almost in the middle of Q1 or early Q1. It has also been assumed that February would likely be the release period of the Zen processor, which all be available on day one. This would mean that customers would not have to wait weeks or months for the products to actually arrive. 

Another important detail which AMD revealed concerning Ryzen processor, was its lifespan. According to AMD's chief technology officer, Mark Papermaster, Ryzen will have a four-year lifespan. The said processor lifespan of Ryzen is directly in contrast to its predecessors and rivals.

"We're not going tick-tock," he said. "Zen is going to be tock, tock, tock, Papermaster told PC World

The same publication also noted that if Papermaster's words are to be taken literally, then AMD Ryzen will have to undergo three generations of improvements, for about one per year. However, details of the improvement still remain elusive, for the chief technology officer did not push any further.

That being said, it would be best to wait for more updates concerning Ryzen processor, especially for its price. As of the current writing, there have been no recent updates about Ryzen's price. However, most rumors and speculations would suggest that it would likely be within a $500 price point, as mentioned in a separate report
