‘Running Man’ star Haha reveils cast members' injuries from SBS show’s missions

South Korean rapper and musician Haha is one of the cast members in the SBS variety show 'Running Man.'

Being a part of a variety show that entails a lot of physical challenges can take its toll on its cast members. Recently, "Running Man" star Haha shared some of the injuries that he and fellow members sustained on the SBS program.

Haha was a guest on the program "Human Documentary" where he revealed his health status after participating in variety shows over the years. Aired on Jan. 8, Sunday, the rapper revealed that his body started to deteriorate when he joined the SBS variety show "Running Man" and the MBC program "Infinite Challenge."

Over the years, viewers witnessed how Haha and other South Korean celebrities have had to endure strenuous activities that involved running, carrying cast members or guests to complete missions and other tasks. Haha confessed that he experienced having a slipped disc seven times but endured the pain since he thought that everybody felt the same way.

It was only after Haha consulted with a doctor that he learned that his health condition was nearly fatal. The doctor commented that the musician was in danger of becoming paralyzed had he not sought medical attention.

Apart from Haha, other "Running Man" cast members also suffered similar health problems. Yoo Jae Suk has had to endure with problems with his neck, ankle and waist, while former member Gary suffered from a torn ligament and shoulder pain, according to the rapper.

In other news, with the impending end of "Running Man," avid fans of the South Korean musician can look forward to seeing him on the small screen as the host of a new music competition. Haha, as well Jung Jun Ha, were identified as the new hosts of Mnet's upcoming rap/hip-hop competition named "High School Rapper," according to All Kpop.

Meanwhile, Haha and other "Running Man" cast members will soon visit Taiwan to hold a fan meeting event. The said event, scheduled on Feb. 10, will still continue despite the SBS variety show's upcoming finale, a source shared with Yonhap News.

"Running Man" will air its final episode in February, while Haha's new "High School Rapper" music competition is expected to premiere also in the same month. Watch a clip from the SBS variety program's latest episode below:
