The "Han Solo" movie is slowly taking form as new cast members are being announced for the film. "The Hunger Games" star Woody Harrelson is reportedly in talks to join the movie as Han Solo's mentor, reports confirm.

According to Variety, the actor is being considered to take on a mentor role for the "Han Solo" spinoff movie, which will be set before "Stars Wars: A New Hope." The "Han Solo" plot will focus on the early years of the titular character and how they became space smugglers and "scoundrels on the rise."

If Harrelson bags the role, this will be another franchise role for him. He previously starred as Haymitch Abernathy, mentor to Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen, in "The Hunger Games" franchise. He also played Merritt McKinney in the "Now You See Me" movies.

Alden Ehrenreich has been confirmed for the role of young Han Solo. In an interview with the same publication, the "Hail! Caesar" actor revealed that fans will also see a younger Chewbacca in the "Han Solo" spinoff movie.

"He's as much younger as I am in the film," Ehrenreich joked. "So, I think he's like 190 - or something - years old. I don't think there's a huge growth spurt for him from 190 to 210, so he's probably about the same height."

Donaldo Glover is playing the young Lando Clarissian. He has a competitive friendship with Han Solo, to whom to he surrendered the Millennium Falcon after losing in a card game. In the movie, fans will learn just exactly how Lando lost the Millennium Falcon to Han Solo.

Emilia Clarke is also setting off to the galaxy far, far away as she joins the "Han Solo" spinoff movie. The "Game of Thrones" star will play the female lead. Prior to Clarke's casting, Tessa Thompson, Zoe Karvitz and Naomi Scott were considered for the role.

Ehrenreich, Glover and Clarke round up the dynamic main cast of the "Han Solo" movie.

Filming for the "Han Solo" movie will reportedly start this January. The release date for "Han Solo" is tentatively scheduled for May 2018.
