Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X release drawing near as leaked photos emerge; Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant coming soon?

Rumors have it that Xiaomi is preparing for the launch of the alleged Redmi Note 4X whose images have been leaked. Fresh information suggest the Chinese company is working on Snapdragon variant of Redmi Note 4.

The rumored Redmi Note 4X was first spotted on the website of TENNA, a regulatory body in China. The design of the Redmi Note 4X revealed in newly leaked images is contrary to the one that was spotted on TENAA in December 2016.

It is expected to be an upgraded version of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The leaked images of the device appears to have ditched the fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone. The Chinese company is likely to incorporate the feature in the Home button, PlayfulDroid reported.

The phone in the image appears to have full metal metallic body. The horizontal lines seen on the top of the phone are for antenna signal.

According to earlier leaks, the specs of the Redmi Mix 4X is rumored to come powered by 653 processor. It will carry a 4 GB of RAM and a 64 GB native storage. Xiaomi has not shared any details about the launch date as well as the phone's name.

Xiaomi has been busy from the start of this year. It astonished the tech world by releasing Mi Mix flagship with an innovative bezel-less design. The company has recently launched white colored edition of Mi Mix smartphone during the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 event. It is now rumored to be working on a Snapdragon edition of Redmi Note 4.

The Redmi Note 4 was launched in August 2016 with MediaTek Helio X20 chipset inside.However, a Snapdragon edition of Redmi Note 4 has passed FCC certification in the U.S,, Gizmo China reported. Speculations have it that it may be either powered by Snapdragon 652 or 653 chipset.

The MediaTek edition of Redmi Note 4 was mainly sold in China. However, the Snapdragon version of Note 4 that has passed FCC seems to be aimed towards markets outside China. Interestingly, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that it will be launching a new product in India on Jan. 19. Speculations have it that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 powered with SD 653 may get unveiled at the upcoming launch event.
