CJ McCollum

The February trade deadline is fast approaching so it's understandable that several players are involved in many trade rumors. Here are the latest updates on the availability of players such as C.J. McCollum, Paul Millsap, Tyson Chandler and more.

Portland Trail Blazers not looking to deal C.J. McCollum

The Blazers are one of the most disappointing teams this season as they continue to struggle in defense. Several rumors started popping out regarding the possibility of trading McCollum and building around Damian Lillard.

Portland will surely get a lot of great assets if they trade McCollum. However, Chris Haynes of ESPN reported that the Blazers are not looking to make the 25-year-old shooting guard available. They are also not parting ways with Evan Turner but they could be active at the deadline looking for a center.

Paul Millsap no longer on the trading block

A lot of teams were alerted last week as the Atlanta Hawks made Millsap available via trade. However, the Hawks have pulled the three-time All-Star out of the trading block, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Some of the teams that had interest in acquiring Millsap include the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers. The Hawks might still trade Millsap but they will surely wait for the best offer at the February deadline.

Blazers interested in Tyson Chandler?

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Blazers are interested in acquiring Chandler from the Phoenix Suns. The 34-year-old center is playing good basketball on a very young Suns team. However, he is a better fit in Portland since he can help the Blazers combat their defensive woes.

The problem for the Blazers is Chandler's bloated contract that still has two years remaining worth $26.6 million. Portland has the third-highest payroll in the NBA this season so they have to part ways with some of their big deals to acquire Chandler.

Rajon Rondo to the Cleveland Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers solidified their roster by trading for sharpshooting guard Kyle Korver. However, the Cavs still need a backup point guard and they might have found the answer. Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reported that Cleveland is monitoring the Rondo situation in Chicago.

Rondo's big contract and possible chemistry issue are big risks for the Cavaliers. It's much safer for them to take a chance on free agent point guards like Mario Chalmers and Jarrett Jack.
