After unveiling its original ZenBook 3 laptop in 2016, Asus recently confirmed the release of the said laptop's improved edition, dubbed as ZenBook 3 Deluxe Edition, which will feature a bigger screen display, more powerful processor and additional ports.

In the recently held CES 2017, Asus unveiled its ZenBook 3 Deluxe laptop, carrying the model number UX490UA. The new ZenBook's design highlights its thin bezels that squeeze its 14-inch Full HD display into a smaller form factor, which roughly made the screen size into 13 inches, Trusted Reviews reported. Asus reported that the laptop will cover 100 percent of the sRGB colour gamut, which will be great for photographers and artists.

In addition, the high-end laptop will offer more ports than its predecessor. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe will feature three USB Type-C ports, two of which support Thunderbolt 3 while the third connector serves as a plain USB 3.1 connector.

In its internal chassis, the ZenBook 3 Deluxe is powered by the latest Intel Core i7-7500U Kaby Lake processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM, running at 2,133MHz, NDTV reported. The Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe offers up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a missing SD card slot.

Recent reports suggest that the upgraded model of ZenBook 3 also introduces a new four-way speaker system powered by Harman Kardonas, together with larger touchpad and set of keys.

The ZenBook 3 Deluxe keyboard features a 1.2mm of key travel and an improved touchpad integrated with a fingerprint reader on the right edge for enabling Windows Hello. The trackpad also allows enough room for resting the palm while typing.

In this model, Asus has introduced a new piece of software for the input known as "Touchpad Handwriting and a larger battery than the predecessor. Its 46 Whr battery is reported to last for up to 10 hours of operation.

The ZenBook 3 Deluxe edition also sports an elegantly thin 12.9 mm profile, which weighs only 2.42 lbs (1.1kg), making at a super-light device that could be easy for travel. Its connectivity options, on the other hand, features 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 as well.

Asus plans to sell the ZenBook 3 Deluxe in May for $1,699 (roughly Rs. 115,300, £1,371, AU$2,317).
