Samsung Galaxy S8

A new render of Samsung Galaxy S8 suggest that the smartphone would be lacking an LED flash for its rear camera.

Ghostek, a third party case maker that is well-known for making cases and accessories for iPhones and Samsung Galaxy smartphones has released a new render that shows S8 flagship placed inside Atomic 3 waterproof chassis. The new render reveals quite a few details of the design of Galaxy S8.

The first thing that can be clearly seen in the new render is the dual-edge curved screen on Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S8 rumors have hinted that the South Korean company will release a 5-inch Galaxy S8 and a 6-inch Galaxy S8 smartphones. Both devices are expected to house dual-edge curved screens.

The oblong Home button that is usually seen on Samsung smartphones is absent on the Galaxy S8 render. The size of the top and bottom bezels appears to be reduced.

Instead of the Home button, a Samsung logo can be seen on the bottom bezel of the smartphone. It suggests that the smartphone would be sporting a higher screen-to-body ratio than the predecessor Galaxy S series smartphones.

A fingerprint scanner is also missing on the device. Since it is not present on the front and back sides of Galaxy S8 in the render. It is heavily pegged to be embedded below the screen. For added security, Samsung is also expected to bring iris scanner feature on Galaxy S8.

Unlike previous rumors that suggested the inclusion of dual camera system, the new render suggests that this feature won't be coming to Galaxy S8. The dual camera feature may be available on the larger Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone.

An astonishing thing that can be easily observed on the Galaxy S8 render is that it lacks an LED flash for its main camera. It is unlikely that Samsung would be removing such an important feature from its upcoming flagship. Hence, there are doubts whether to trust the image or consider as fake, Gizmo China reported.

Smartphone accessories makers are known to receive specifications of the upcoming smartphones so that can it can manufacture various accessories. According to BGR, an unnamed source has revealed to it that Ghostek has created the render on the basis of the actual data coming from Samsung factories.
