The library of Xbox One Backwards Compatibility games continues to grow. Seven Xbox 360 games have been added to the list and this time around they include high-profile titles such as "Dragon Age: Origins," "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" and "Battlefield 3."
Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson tweeted the announcement but only revealed the three aforementioned games. Four others were added and these include the 2009 "Ghostbusters" game, "Strania, "Scrap Metal" and "The Splatters."
"Dragon Age: Origins" is one of the bigger titles included in the list. It launched a new franchise for Bioware and Electronic Arts, with the latest game being "Dragon Age: Inquisition." It is also a stark contrast to the sci-fi epic that Bioware has also produced which is the "Mass Effect" series.
All of the games can be purchased digitally except for "Battlefield 3," Gamespot reported. It will require gamers to have the original physical disc given that the game is not available for purchase on the Xbox Live store.
"Battlefied: Bad Company 2" will require 4.88 GB of hard drive space and can be purchased on the digital store for $20. "Dragon Age: Origins" costs $15 and requires 6.44 GB hard drive space. Both "Ghostbusters" and "Scrap Metal" cost $15 while "Strania" and "The Splatters" cost $10 each.
To date there are over 300 Xbox 360 games now available through the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program. However, there are still some high profile titles that have yet to be included such as "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" and "Grand Theft Auto IV," Game Rant reported.
It is still uncertain at this point when Microsoft will add more games to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list. There is no set schedule and games are added as soon as they have been optimized to run on the Xbox One.
