Wentworth Miller plays Michael Scofield in 'Prison Break.'

The story of Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) will continue to unfold in "Prison Break" Season 5 with more surprised and shocking turns. At the recent Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Tour, a new trailer was unveiled that sees Michael's unexpected return after he was presumed dead for several years.

Fox's "Prison Break" creator Paul T. Scheuring expressed his excitement and happiness in bringing the original cast members together for "Prison Break" Season 5. With Michael's return, he teased that there is more than the troubled relationship of Michael with wife Dr. Sarah Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), who got married to Jacob Ness (Mark Feuerstein) during the former's demise.

"Micheal doesn't come out of the gates comprised," Deadline quoted Scheuring as saying at the TCA. "Is he Michael? Is this the Michael we knew all along?"

The new trailer for "Prison Break" Season 5 begins with Michael in a war-torn Yemeni prison while a voiceover, saying "'I died seven years ago." T-Bag (Robert Knepper) went to Michael's brother Lincoln to deliver a message that Michael may be alive.

The decoded message informed Lincoln that Michael is in Ogygia Prison in Yemen. He sought the help of Fernando Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) and Sarah to rescue Michael from the prison. A scene from the trailer showed T-Bag waking up with a prosthetic hand that appears to be something mysterious, according to Daily Mail.

The next scene in "Prison Break" Season 5 new trailer showed Michael escaping from his cell through the ceiling. As previously described by Fox, it is the biggest escape in the series' history.

The first clip that was released in August 2016 showed the production in progress and interviews with some of the cast members and executive producer Dawn Olmstead. A follow up could be possible depending on the reception of the viewers and the availability of the cast members.

The revival is composed of nine episodes. Scenes for "Prison Break" Season 5 were filmed at the same time in Morocco and Vancouver.

In the first trailer, Purcell promised that "Prison Break" Season 5 is much better than the original. "Prison Break" will return to Fox on April 4, every Tuesday night at 9/8c. Watch the newly released second trailer below:
