UFC president and huge boxing fan Dana White wished the mega fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao happened five years ago, USA Today reported.

Just like any other boxing fan, White's first reaction when Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao has signed the contract and finally agreed to face each other on May 2nd was that it could have happened years ago.

White also commented that the upcoming and most anticipated bout between the two superstars will not hurt UFC in any way.

Nonetheless, he clarifies that there is no way or no one in the world that will and can stop him to score some tickets. During an ESPN interview about his thoughts on the fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao, he said that he just made a call that day trying to get a bunch of tickets for the fight. He also added that it is the fight that everybody's been waiting for. White also said that how he wished he could have saw the two hall of famer go at it in their prime.

White was also asked about his predictions on the upcoming fight.

He said that if the fight happened 5 years ago, he could go with the Philippines fighting pride because of his speed and power. However, he said that with Pacquiao's last fights, it is very evident how he slowed and lost some of his punching power. With these factors to consider, he will go with Mayweather because of the undefeated boxer's defense and intelligence.

White however came back by saying that he is big Manny Pacquiao fan by saying that he goes to the gym everyday wearing a Pacman signature sneakers.
