The Originals Cast

"The Originals" Season 4 may be centered on Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) relationship, but this does not mean that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will not have plenty of storylines in the upcoming episodes.

In fact, Hayley and Klaus, who also happen to be parents to Hope, will continue to lean on each other for help. When the Big Bad arrives in New Orleans to torment Hope, Hayley and Klaus will do everything in their power to make sure they will protect their daughter.

But other than this interesting and creepy storyline, fans can also expect Klaus to reunite with his long-lost friend, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Michael Narducci confirmed that one of Klaus' major storylines in Season 4 will have something to do with his reckoning with Marcel.

The exec added that by the looks of it, there will be some hope for healing between the two male characters.

Elsewhere, Freya (Riley Voelkel) will also have a new love interest. But this person will not come easy for the character. Instead, their relationship will set the stage for an emotional struggle which then paves the way for viewers to see a different side to Freya.

Meanwhile, Claire Holt will also return to multiple episodes of "The Originals" Season 4. The actress played the role of Klaus and Elijah's sister, Rebekah, in multiple seasons and episodes. Rebekah will also have an incredible journey on the show.

In other news, "The Originals" still did not receive a renewal from The CW for Season 5. But the execs of the network are confident that the series will not be cancelled. It just so happens that "The Originals" Season 4 still has not premiered.

But even before the fate of "The Originals" Season 5 was announced, Narducci already confirmed his exit from Warner Bros. Television. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Narducci is leaving the production company after two years in favor of a new job at ABC Studios. If the series is renewed for Season 5, "The Vampire Diaries" exec Julie Plec will take over the show.

"The Originals" Season 4 will premiere on The CW on March 17 at 9 p.m. EST.
