Vulture will serve as the main villain in the film and he will be joined by Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine) and the Tinkerer (Michael Chernus).
In other news, two characters from the "Spider-Man" mythos will likely appear in the MCU soon as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor Lin-Manuel Miranda wants to play Marvel villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage in the MCU.
Movie Press YouTube podcast host Simon Thompson stated that Miranda is a Marvel fan and if the Marvel Studios and Disney will allow Carnage or do a "Maximum Carnage" storyline, he wants to be in it and play the villain.
But in order to have Carnage in the MCU, Marvel Studios must properly introduce the symbiotes in the MCU, particularly Venom, but with Toni Revolori playing Flash Thompson in "Homecoming" it seems that Venom's debut in the MCU could be a possibility in the next Spidey sequels.
Meanwhile, there is also rumors that Mary Jane Watson could appear "Spider-Man: Homecoming". Past reports revealed that "K.C. Undercover" star and pop-singer Zendaya confirmed that her character is not Mary Jane Watson due to the fact the she describe Michelle as not a "romantic" person rather a a dry, awkward. intelligent and having a very deep personality. which sets her apart from Mary Jane Watson who is outgoing, friendly and confident in the comics.
However, rumors has it that Mary Jane Watson could appear in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" but with a different interpretation as she will have spider powers similar to Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland). The draw back is that MJ having powers will not take place in the film, TheBitBag reported.
