Carmelo Anthony

The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching so a lot of rumors swirl around this time of the year. The New York Knicks continue their free fall with Carmelo Anthony reportedly willing to waive his no-trade clause. On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to unload big man Jahlil Okafor.

Anthony to Cleveland Cavaliers or Los Angeles Clippers?

According to Forbes, the relationship between Anthony and the Knicks front office is deteriorating. The Knicks are struggling at the moment as they went from being a playoff team to a lottery team in a matter of months.

Anthony is reportedly upset with Phil Jackson regarding Charley Rosen's comments in the media. Rosen noted in his column on FanRag Sports that Melo is willing to waive his no-trade clause if he gets dealt to either the Cavaliers or Clippers. It should be noted that Jackson and Rosen are very good friends.

The 32-year-old superstar told the New York Post that if Jackson wants him gone from the Big Apple, he needs to talk him. Anthony also believes Jackson put the idea on Rosen's head and he's unhappy that the Knicks president is using the media against him.

"If that's the case, if that's where it's coming from, that side, I guess it's a conversation we should have. If they feel my time in New York is over, I guess that's a conversation we should have," Anthony said.

Jahlil Okafor trade rumors

The Sixers have a realistic but long shot of making the playoffs. However, they are going to showcase Okafor, who recently returned from a knee injury. According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Sixers will let Okafor play so that interested teams can take a good, hard look at him.

Nerlens Noel is another Sixers player that might get traded but his friendship with Joel Embiid could keep him in Philadelphia. The only dilemma for the Sixers is Noel will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

Goran Dragic on the trading block?

According to Zach Lowe of ESPN, the Miami Heat will kick off their rebuild by trading Goran Dragic at the deadline. However, the Heat are looking to recoup some of the assets they let go in acquiring Dragic so their price for the Slovenian guard will be high. The Orlando Magic have already expressed interest in Dragic but they likely need to trade Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic.
