Danish group Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) is finally returning to China for a series of tours.

The planned tour, which will cover the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou was announced by lead singer Jascha Ritcher, guitarist Mikkel Lentz, and drummer Kare Wanscher in a press conference in Beijing on Jan. 13.

Besides the repertoire of greatest hits, MLTR will add more Chinese elements to the show.

It will also release a new song featuring both Chinese and English lyrics and other new creations with support from Chinese musician teams.

MLTR is best known to Chinese music lovers for its 2004 Chinese-turned-English hit, "Take Me To Your Heart."

"Take Me To Your Heart" brings back a lot of memories for many Chinese who grew up during the 1990s. According to the Global Times, "It is more than a catchy song that helped bring Chinese people pop to the English world."

The song was so popular that it many Chinese who spoke little English could sing a few lines from the hit song, "Take me to your heart/take me to your soul."

It was also being played even in the smallest shops around the country.

The group also has English covers of famous Chinese songs namely "Legend" by Chinese pop queen Faye Wong and rock icon Cui Jian's "Nothing to My Name."

The band revealed that while they are receiving a lot of proposals from many record companies, they still prefer Chinese songs "because we really like them and they match with our style."

The organizers did not reveal other details as they still have six more months to go before the official show, which is scheduled this August.
