Red Velvet is making a comeback next month

Red Velvet is set to make a comeback next month, their agency SM Entertainment has confirmed the news.

SM Entertainment confirms that K-pop girl group Red Velvet will be making their comeback on first week of February. According to the prominent entertainment agency, which also handles Girls' Generation and EXO, Red Velvet will begin their promotions this week.

A Soompi article cited a representative from SM Entertainment who confirmed the news about Red Velvet's comeback. According to the source, "Red Velvet may begin promotions around the end of January if they are quick. As of now, they are wrapping up preparations and deciding on the comeback date."

The K-pop news website added it will be the group's comeback after 4 months. Red Velvet which is expected to comeback in February released their third mini album "Russian Roulette" last September.

While fans wait for the group's comeback, the members had been doing TV guestings as of late. On Jan. 21, Red Velvet's Irene reportedly topped the "Best Girl Group Center" on KBS Joy's "Chart Men". allkpop learned that Irene was selected due to her "flawless looks". The article revealed that she had been known for her looks since her debut in Daegu. Moreover, Irene is considered as one of "SM Entertainment's 3 big goddesses" which includes YoonA of Girls' Generation and actress Lee Yeon Hee.

Joining her in the list of "Best Girl Group Center" was Girls' Generation's "kid leader" Taeyeon in second place and MAMAMOO's Solar ranked third, allkpop reported.

Red Velvet members Yeri and Wendy also hit the news last weekend when the group guested on tvN's "Empty the Convenience Store". Their episode which aired on Jan. 20 disclosed Yeri's weird taste in food and Wendy's weight gain issue.

According to allkpop, the show which was all about cooking delicious meals using ingredients from a convenience store featured Yeri and her weird taste in food. The singer was shown mixing sweet and sour sauce, also known as Chojang, in almost everything she eats.

During the broadcast, Yeri chose to cook sweet black bean noodles mixed tuna, triangle kimbap, sesame oil, cheese and her favorite sweet and sour sauce. While her choice of food looked good, it did not sit well with some of the MCs and Red Velvet members. 

Moreover, a separate allkpop article revealed Wendy's weight gain concern. The Red Velvet singer even said that she feels satisfied by just watching the other members eat and that she gets anxious whenever she eats a certain amount of food.
