New details and spoilers for "Justice League" live-action movie will feature Superman's vital role and a shortlist of actors to play Green Lantern in the DC Extended Universe.
"300" director Zack Snyder teased that Clark Kent/Superman (Henry Cavill) will have an important role within the "Justice League" movie as he told Empire (via Heroic Hollywood) that the Man of Steel's big presence and lack of presence will play a huge part of the story.
Superman's heroic sacrifice to defeat Doomsday during the events of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" had a huge impact upon the world and its hieroes, from Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) creating Task Force X in "Suicide Squad" to Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) giving him hope and assembling a team of heroes to defend the earth against the forces of Apokolips.
While Superman's return to life and his role in the "Justice League" is left unexplained, several hints revealed that Superman will have another confrontation with Batman over the leadership of the league and possibly having a one-on-one fight with the film's main villain Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds).
In other news, a short list of actors that who could play the Hal Jordan Green Lantern character has been revealed.
According to the list, these actors include "Limitless" star Bradley Cooper, "Mission Impossible" star Tom Cruise, former "Green Lantern" and "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds, "Westworld" actor James Marsden, "The Great Indoors" actor Joel McHale, "The Lone Ranger" star Armie Hammer and "Southpaw" star Jake Gyllenhaal, TheWrap reported.
Hal Jordan along with fellow Green Lantern member John Stewart will star in the "Green Lantern Corps." film and there relationship is described as "Lethal Weapon in Space" as Hal Jordan is a 'devil may care' cocky plane pilot, while John Stewart is a meticulous and disciplined Marine.
Green Lantern member will be a "key sequence" during the plot of "Justice League". While very little is known about this possible Green Lantern appearance, it is still, nonetheless, exciting for the DC and comic book fans as Green Lantern has been known to be a founding member of the Justice League both in comics and in animation.
"Justice League" movie is scheduled to premier in cinemas on Nov. 17.
